Candidate should have the ability to accurately discern, and document deficiencies found during an inspection.</p> <p>How you will do it</p> <p>Perform routine inspections, testing, service of life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers' product lines.</p> <p>Attention to detail with the ability to communicate with employees, employers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction both written and verbally is desired.</p> <p>Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.</p> <p>Learn to complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.</p> <p>Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation program via the laptop computer.</p> <p>Make minor repairs and programming changes while under the direct authorized supervision.</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Required</p> <p>Four or more years of documented experience in sprinkler system inspections.</p> <p>NICET certification, or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire (training provided by JCI).</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</p> <p>Four or more years of documented experience in sprinkler system inspections.</p> <p>NICET certification, or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire (training provided by JCI).</p> <p>Ability to obtain and maintain any licenses required by national, state, or local codes.</p> <p>Experience using hand tools and a multimeter.</p> <p>Experience troubleshooting systems and performing repairs.</p> <p>Able to carry and move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.</p> <p>Work in challenging environments, including ladders, scaffolding, lifts up to 40 feet, ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.</p> <p>Available for flexible hours, including nights and weekends, occassionally.</p> <p>Willing to travel out of town for training.</p> <p>Demonstrates strong customer service.</p> <p>Follows all safety guidelines and procedures.</p> <p>Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learner.</p> <p>Preferred</p> <p>Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows and standpipes is a plus.</p> <p>Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems</p> <p>Backflow certification</p> <p>HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.67 - $28.85 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
