<p>Hourly Rate: $23.00 - 25.00 Plus Annual Bonus</p> <p>Shifts: M-F 7:00 am -3:30 pm, M-Th 6:30 am-5:00 pm, or Tu-F 6:30 am - 5:00 pm.</p> <p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>Reporting to the Production Manager, the primary role is to assist in various capacities including, but not limited to, lamination, bonding, painting, and inspection.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Lamination and Bonding</p> <ul> <li> <p>Understands safety and procedural issues for the process</p> </li><li> <p>Reads and understands the production process instruction sheet, including identification of all relevant materials and equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Reads and understands part drawings and identifies important details and dimensions</p> </li><li> <p>Inspects parts for dimensional qualities</p> </li><li> <p>Inspects parts for lamination or secondary process readiness</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures material and supplies availability for upcoming production</p> </li><li> <p>Schedules daily lamination tasks to ensure optimum throughput to meet customer demand</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans and maintains mix and weighing equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Performs secondary operations (i.e. insert installation) when necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Bonding</p> </li><li> <p>Reads and understands process sheet and/or packing slip</p> </li><li> <p>Trims and dry fits blocks prior to bond process</p> </li><li> <p>Records all lot information onto process sheets</p> </li><li> <p>Weighs out adhesives and prepares bagging/bonding materials</p> </li><li> <p>Bonds and vacuum bags blocks or finished parts to meet drawing or process sheet specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Trim/package or crate items for shipment</p> </li><li> <p>Fiberglassing</p> </li><li> <p>Reads and understands part drawings for glass layout and thickness details</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares work area for glassing process</p> </li><li> <p>Cuts/prepares fiberglass for lay-up process</p> </li><li> <p>Properly weighs and mixes resins for lay-up</p> </li><li> <p>Performs layout process including vacuum bagging when required</p> </li><li> <p>Trims and finishes parts, including sanding and readies part for final coatings</p> </li><li> <p>Inspects and prepares final parts for shipment</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares equipment preventive maintenance schedule</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in inventory assessment of raw materials and data collection</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates supplies status and notifies or orders supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Sanding</p> </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Manufacturing experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift, push and pull greater than 50 pounds. With the occasional need to lift up to 100 pounds </li><li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time. </li><li>Must be able to walk through a large manufacturing environment. </li><li>Must be able to use hand tools </li><li>Constant use of hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls. </li><li>Repetitive hand and arm movements. </li><li>Occasional bending and twisting. </li><li>Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks. </li><li>Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. </li><li>Must be able to wear PPE as necessary (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, etc.). </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <p>Majority of work is performed in a manufacturing environment with noise levels within safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.</p> <p>WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:</p> <p>To conform to U.S. Government export control regulations and the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information restrictions, applicant must be a U.S citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorization from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce.</p>
