Your role involves implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.</p> <p>As a React Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, your role will be pivotal in a rapidly expanding global agile team. You will be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, from analysis and design to development and testing, and ultimately delivering an amazing user experience. Your responsibilities will include feature development, performance refactoring, accessibility engineering and close collaboration with a high-performing team to deliver complex UIs with an attention to both performance and aesthetic detail.</p> <p>Job responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems </li><li>Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems </li><li>Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture </li><li>Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies </li><li>Develop cutting edge Generative AI Interface solutions using React and typescript using modern continuous integration standards and patterns </li><li>Collaboratively design and build custom UI components to support various business workflows </li><li>Develop innovative solutions or tools and build automated processes to help streamline both the development of a large and complex codebase and improve the developer experience </li><li>Leverage strong operational skills to develop impactful recommendations on upstream product, process, or policy improvements that will optimize the user experience </li><li>Work closely with the Product team to design, build and deliver capabilities in agile sprints. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, backend engineers, designers, and data scientists to integrate generative AI into various applications and products. </li><li>Adapts to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience </li><li>Hands-on design centric front end software engineer with deep expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Typescript and "state managmenet" </li><li>Solid understanding of improving and debugging memory and performance bottlenecks </li><li>Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as Application Resiliency, and Security </li><li>Hands on experience working on a large team of developers in a developing, debugging, and maintaining code </li><li>Hands-on experience in user experience, design-centric approaches, and design principles for developing dynamic and engaging user interface </li><li>Experience with Jest / Vitest and React Testing Library </li><li>Hands on experience in Generative AI and cutting-edge web technologies </li><li>Hands on experienced in using the CLI, git workflow, and CI / CD </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to cloud technologies </li><li>Understanding of industry standard software best practices, development lifecycle processes and Agile tools and methodologies </li></ul>
