<p>This position will facilitate the integration of nursing students into academic programs, the primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the comprehensive intake process of nursing students, tracking, ensuring the transition from application to enrollment. This position requires a combination of administrative skills, communication skills, and an understanding of nursing education.</p> <p>Requisition ID: 927</p> <p>Employee Group: Professional Management and Administration</p> <p>Schedule: 15 hours/40 weeks; variable schedule</p> <p>Compensation: AP2; $19.83 per hour</p> <p>Benefits: Part-time</p> <p>Reports to: Program Director, Nursing</p> <p>Posting Opens: 06/18/2025</p> <p>Posting Closes: Open until filled, candidate review will begin on July 2nd.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Update and maintain ready lists for all nursing programs. </li><li>Monitor and review the plan of study for incoming nursing students and those on any of the nursing waitlists. </li><li>Meet and collaborate with incoming students (and the Nursing Programs Director) to communicate program information, develop individual education development plans (EDPs) and assign students to the correct cohort. </li><li>Collaborate with the Nursing Program Director and other Nursing Department personnel to review and evaluate nursing program policies and procedures. </li><li>Oversee, update and maintain tracking tools/records for individual cohorts, including admission data, progression and graduation data, and information related to licensure. </li><li>Participate in the Nursing Department and/or other Nursing Committee meetings as appropriate. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Nursing Programs Director or Associate Dean. </li></ul> <p>JOB SPECIFICATIONS</p> <p>Educational Credentials</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of two (2) years' experience\administrative experience required including customer service, attention to detail and accurate record keeping </li><li>Knowledge of Practical and/or Associate Degree Nursing programs highly preferred. </li><li>Experience working with a diverse community college student population is highly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Student support and advising coordination </li><li>Data management and record tracking </li><li>Communication and collaboration </li><li>Technology Proficiency </li><li>Problem solving and time management </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in a high traffic, indoor environment </li><li>Ability to work in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions </li></ul> <p>Mental Demands</p> <ul> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure while possessing mature judgment and flexibility in regards to interruptions and schedule changes. </li><li>Understand and appreciate our community college philosophy and diverse populations. </li><li>Must use good judgment in handling sensitive or difficult situations in a professional manner. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>GRCC will comply with any mandated health and safety requirements.
