<p>The Sports Team Lead provides day-to-day direction and supervision of assigned program areas which may include youth programs, family programs, teen programs, sports, fitness, recreation, and/or others.</p> <p>Salary range of $19.00-$22.00 per hour with opportunities to grow within the organization</p> <p>Our staff is the Y's greatest asset. Evaluates programs. </li><li>Assists in training new staff </li><li>Assists with scheduling staff to ensure coverage of all activities. </li><li>Maintains cleanliness and safety of facilities and equipment. </li><li>Develops promotional materials and distributes program information. </li><li>Maintains YMCA standards and ensures compliance with requirements. Ensures accidents and incidents are reported. </li><li>Develops special events and activities. </li><li>Assists with developing and managing the budgets related to the program areas. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Preferred Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must have an Associate's Degree with 1 to 3 years of experience and some supervisory experience. </li><li>Experience in program development, fiscal management, and staff development preferred. </li><li>Strong organizational, budgetary, computer, and written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively and relate to youth, parents, and program staff. </li><li>Previous supervisory experience a plus. </li></ul> <p>Child Abuse Prevention - Support the YMCA's commitment to child abuse prevention by:</p> <ul> <li>Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor </li><li>Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children </li><li>Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor </li><li>Completing all child abuse prevention training as required </li></ul>
