Our unique business model, combined with our dedication to delivering the highest quality products, enables team members to contribute in a larger capacity than is possible in typical positions.</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>The Quality Inspector plays an important role in supporting Applied Medical's commitment to delivering high-quality medical devices. The role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and documenting materials and components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product integrity and compliance with regulatory and internal quality standards. The Quality Inspector supports quality control activities, contributes to continuous improvement efforts, and helps maintain Applied Medical's rigorous expectations for medical device manufacturing and quality assurance.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform First Article and Final inspections using measuring tools and equipment such as pin gauges, calipers, micrometers, rulers, optical comparators, and Keyence systems. </li><li>Maintain compliance with Applied Medical's Quality Systems, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and company policies. </li><li>Review Medical History Record documentation for accuracy, traceability, and adherence to good documentation practices. </li><li>Document inspection activities, receiving information, quarantine actions, Technically Complete steps, material release, and scrap decisions within the Enterprise Resource Planning system. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and regulatory teams, to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. </li><li>Support training and knowledge sharing by assisting production team members in understanding inspection techniques, quality standards, and regulatory expectations. </li><li>Identify quality trends, nonconformances, and process improvement opportunities to support ongoing enhancement of medical device quality. </li></ul> <p>Success in This Role Looks Like</p> <ul> <li>Ensures consistent, accurate, and timely inspection results that support high-quality medical device manufacturing. </li><li>Contributes to effective cross-functional communication and problem-solving to resolve quality concerns. </li><li>Drives accuracy and reliability in regulatory documentation and inspection records. </li><li>Supports product integrity by identifying potential quality risks early in the manufacturing process. </li><li>Strengthens continuous improvement efforts that enhance quality assurance processes and overall manufacturing performance. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements</p> <p>This position requires the following skills and attributes:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent educational background. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team environment. </li><li>Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and methodical approach. </li><li>Demonstrate a proactive mindset with the willingness to ask thoughtful questions and seek clarification when needed. </li><li>Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills with proficiency in English. </li><li>Demonstrate a positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a customer service-focused approach. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to learn and use a variety of measuring tools and inspection equipment. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment that requires strong mental focus and adaptability. </li><li>Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <p>The following skills and attributes are preferred:</p> <ul> <li>At least two years of related quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or medical device environment. </li><li>Experience using optical comparators or Nikon vision systems. </li><li>Experience working with the SAP enterprise system. </li><li>Entry-level understanding of inspecting raw materials, components, and subassemblies. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation range: $18 - 23 / hour (California). </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package. </li><li>Training and mentorship opportunities. </li><li>On-campus wellness activities. </li><li>Education reimbursement program. </li><li>401(k) program with discretionary employer match. </li><li>Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule. </li></ul> <p>Please note that the compensation range may be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, experience.
