<p>Traditions Health is seeking a new Volunteer Coordinator to join our growing Hospice Team in Youngstown!</p> <p>Part-Time with Benefits</p> <p>Primary function is to act as liaison between hospice and the volunteers regarding patient/family needs. Responsibilities include development and promotion of volunteer programs and maximizing resources.</p> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Schedule: 32 hours per week with benefits.</p> <p>Education: High School Graduate, Graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred</p> <p>Experience: 2 years experience in recruitment & management of volunteers, preferred. Hospice/Healthcare volunteer administration preferred.</p> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the IDT and the lay and professional public</p> </li><li> <p>Computer Proficient, including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email applications</p> </li><li> <p>Must be confident in presentation skills and able to address groups of various sizes as well as train individually in a one-on-one setting</p> </li></ul> <p>Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current driver's license and auto insurance</p> <p>Environmental and Working Conditions: Works in an office environment, promoting efficient functioning and coordination of all agency activities to insure the highest level of professional patient care. Ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to travel locally for recruiting and community events; some exposure to unpleasant weather.</p> <p>Physical and Mental Effort: Sitting is required. Requires ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Recruits, selects, trains and coordinates hospice volunteers.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all local, state and federal laws relating to the recruitment, training & retention of volunteers.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops the volunteer program through collaboration with the IDT and administration personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides volunteers per the Hospice patient's Plan of Care. Monitors the volunteers' adherence to the patient's plan of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Promotes Agency philosophy to ensure quality of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Establishes a public relations program to foster good working relations with the volunteers & the community.</p> </li><li> <p>Carries out other duties as assigned by the IDT.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively recruits on a regular basis for patient needs, as well as community/facility needs and administrative needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Meets deadlines for monthly reports, including cost savings reports, renewable requirements and Retention/Recruiting Logs.</p> </li><li> <p>Follows company, Medicare and state guidelines in regard to training new volunteers and completing a volunteer files on each volunteer.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews and processes volunteer documentation in a timely manner and in compliance with Medicare, state licensing laws and Company policies</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains and meets volunteer hours in compliance with Medicare requirements for reimbursement</p> </li><li> <p>Plans and coordinates Hospice Memorial Service using the guidelines in the Memorial Service Manual.</p> </li><li> <p>Carries out all duties outlined in the Volunteer Coordinator Manual.</p> </li><li> <p>Carries out other duties as assigned by Executive Director and/or Regional Volunteer Program Manager.</p> </li></ul> <p>We aspires to maintain a market competitive, internally equitable, and performance-based rewards program in order to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
