<p>Summary:</p> <p>I am hiring a full-time research assistant (RA) to join the Teen Decision-Making Lab team and assist in the day-to-day operations of a research study on adolescent cannabis use and how it affects brain/behavior reward-related decision-making and related factors.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>The RA?s primary responsibilities include recruiting and screening for eligibility adolescent participants and caregivers administering surveys and assessments to participants assisting with the MRI study visits retaining participants in the study maintaining study data helping with data analysis and research dissemination (e.g. conference presentations publications) and completing other administrative duties (e.g. IRB documentation progress reports etc.). RAs will gain applied research and clinical experience that is particularly well-suited to individuals planning to pursue graduate study in psychology or related fields.</p> <p>This position is supported by and dependent on external research funding. The length of employment will depend on the availability of funding and/or the RA?s willingness to transition to new responsibilities over time.</p> <p>Other information:</p> <p>BASIC KNOWLEDGE:</p> <p>Bachelor?s Degree in Psychology Social Work Counseling or related area and/or Neuroscience and familiarity with psychological research methodology and management.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients families and hospital professionals to gather and exchange information.</p> <p>Knowledge of theory and techniques of research methodology.</p> <p>Organizational skills to manage time organize and prioritize own efforts on multiple projects and to gather research information track study progress format appropriately for computer data entry prepare and maintain records and reports etc.</p> <p>Analytical skills to participate in developing research protocols perform statistical analyses and participate in qualitative/quantitative analyses of research data.</p> <p>Technical ability to operate and maintain data within REDCap SPSS and Lifespan?s electronic medical record system (EPIC).</p> <p>Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care with consideration of human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.</p> <p>Knowledge of neuroimaging procedures and data as well as coding (R Python Bash) are preferred but not required.</p> <p>Spanish speaking proficiency is preferred but not required.</p> <p>Brown University Health is an Equal Opportunity employer.
