Routinely review P/L for assigned area and find ways to maximize profitability. Manage a region to ensure all loads of the region are covered and customer service needs are met. May be assigned to weekend or evening shifts.</p> <ul> <li>Develop high performing drivers through daily interactions, coaching and positive reinforcement. </li><li>Meet drive home time expectations by actively managing expectations and keeping commitments. </li><li>Maximize P/L for all assigned tractors and trailers. </li><li>Determine balance, capacity, and demand of loads and trucks and assign loads to trucks. </li><li>Determine customer priority and execute planning accordingly. </li><li>Assign drivers to lanes that best serve both the company and the driver. </li><li>Ensure all drivers are treated with respect and equitably distribute work (desired lanes/least desired lanes). </li><li>Build and nurture relationships with drivers. </li><li>Proactively manage safety performance to achieve insurance and claims cost as a percentage of revenue targets. </li><li>Ensure payroll accuracy for assigned drivers. </li><li>Hand off appropriate information to next shift. </li><li>Perform driver reviews according to schedule specified by Driver Retention. </li><li>Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives. </li></ul> <p>Copy and paste URL into browser to view full description: https://knxtrans.jdxpert.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&id=7921</p> <p>Qualifications: What you need to bring</p> <ul> <li>2+ years experience in transportation operations required. </li><li>Bachelor's in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. </li><li>Must be able to effectively transfer knowledge to others. </li><li>Must be able to multi-task. </li><li>Must be able to work in high pressure situations in a fast paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annual</p> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive starting salary commensurate with experience and geographic location. </li><li>Potential bonus pay based on company performance. </li><li>Opportunities to volunteer and give back to local communities. </li><li>Comprehensive Benefits Package which includes: </li><li>401(K) </li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Supplemental and Life Insurance </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan </li></ul> <p>The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
