Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Inspector Coordinator is responsible for the safety compliance issues directly related to the Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC) regulations.</p> <ul> <li>Work independently to develop and/or evaluate the Gas Department Emergency Plan, including the update, revision and implementation of the Gas Department Hurricane Plan. </li><li>Conduct safety inspections to insure compliance with Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC) and Pipeline Hazardous and Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) rules and regulations. </li><li>Provide regulatory interpretation and enforcement of Natural Gas Distribution Pipeline Safety regulations. </li><li>Assist in investigation of gas related accidents and related reports of defects, damages or other potential hazards. </li><li>Identify and advise appropriate City supervisors or agencies of problems or situations which present a potential risk or safety concern. </li><li>Create summary reports of investigations, incident reports and prepare correspondence based on findings. </li><li>Process incident reports with the TRCC and maintain status files and chain of custody documentation. </li><li>Conduct post incident review, write compliance reports, check test reports for accuracy and submit documentation to appropriate personnel. </li><li>Identify and advise appropriate supervisors and superintendents of problems or situations which present a potential compliance issue with TRRC regulations and Gas department established operating procedures. </li><li>Conduct PHMSA required regulatory Emergency Liaison activities. </li><li>Conduct damage prevention site inspections. </li><li>Act as backup for injury reporting and vehicle accident investigation and reporting. </li><li>Assist assigned Safety Coordinator with scheduling, conducting or assisting with safety training class, programs and meetings. </li><li>Consult with employees, supervisors and managerial staff as well as other public and private entities regarding proper safety procedures. </li><li>Conduct Gas Department line locator and excavator education and training. </li><li>Conduct required training of the Department's Emergency Plan, Hurricane Plan, and the City's Essential Employee Policy. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires an Associate's Degree </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li><li>A valid driver's license is required.
