<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Dean College's School of Liberal Arts and Sciences is looking for a dynamic, experienced, student-centered educator to teach two sections of Introduction to Statistics (MTH-130) in-person during the Spring 2026 semester. The College seeks Adjunct Faculty who focus on experiential learning and active engagement in their classrooms. Adjuncts chosen to teach at Dean create a compelling and professional learning environment for students of diverse learning backgrounds.</p> <p>Course Description:</p> <p>MTH-130: Introduction to Statistics: Topics include descriptive statistics, measures of central tendency and dispersion, probability rules and probability distributions, the central limit theorem and simple hypothesis testing. Application to real-world problems is stressed throughout the course. Offered every semester. This course fulfills the Core Mathematics requirement.</p> <p>Introduction to Statistics is a 3-credit course. Each section meets for lecture for 2.5 hours/week. The adjunct pay rate is $3,300 per section. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold one office hour each week for each section they teach. The program provides a course charter with course objectives as well as sample syllabi.
