<p>The Office of Motor Vehicles is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Compliance Analyst 4 (MVCA 4) to join the Medical Unit. In this role, you will review and process Medical Examiner's Certificates, apply medical determinations to driver records, and ensure compliance with medical recommendations provided by licensed professionals.</p> <p>This position also plays a key role in supporting customers who operate commercial vehicles on Louisiana's roadways. The MVCA 4 enforces all applicable motor vehicle laws, rules, and regulations-including relevant federal requirements-while providing professional service to carriers. Apply now and lead the way forward!</p> <p>Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent plus three years of experience or training in any field.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:</p> <p>Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.</p> <p>NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:</p> <p>May be required to possess a current Louisiana driver's license at the time of appointment.</p> <p>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.</p> <p>Job Duties and Other Information</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Review and process Medical Examiner's Certificates and apply medical determinations to driver records. </li><li>Ensure compliance with state and federal motor vehicle laws, rules, and regulations. </li><li>Assist commercial vehicle operators by reviewing required documentation and verifying eligibility. </li><li>Issue licenses, titles, registrations, and reinstatements in accordance with OMV policies. </li><li>Administer road tests and evaluate applicants' ability to safely operate vehicles. </li><li>Collect fees for Louisiana and other jurisdictions and ensure accurate transaction processing. </li><li>Provide professional, courteous customer service in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and support the Medical Unit with specialized compliance tasks. </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Position-Specific Details:</p> <p>Appointment Type: This position is a promotional opportunity for classified, permanent employees of DPS-Office of Motor Vehicles</p> <p>Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. </p> <p>Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The Motor Vehicle Compliance Analysts receive an additional hourly amount added to their base pay depending on how long they have worked for the Louisiana OMV.
