<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Housekeeping staff are responsible for maintaining the interior of our buildings, creating a clean and comfortable place to live and work. This is accomplished by taking ownership of a building(s) or area which may include: office buildings, dormitories, athletic facilities, and classrooms.</p> <p>Essential Functions of the Position:</p> <ul> <li>Clean and maintain restrooms and showers. </li><li>Clean and maintain interior building surfaces including wood, glass, carpet, tiles and others. </li><li>Clean window treatments. </li><li>Remove litter, refuse and recycling from, in and around assigned buildings. </li><li>Replace light bulbs. </li><li>Report trouble calls for building repairs. </li><li>Perform special setups for college and student activities. </li><li>Treat building access for snow and ice. </li><li>Maintain building inventory of cleaning supplies. </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Required Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Able to function independently while operating effectively within a team environment. </li><li>Good oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently, without close supervision. </li><li>Must adhere to all safety standards. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience & Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. </li><li>One-year experience performing building services duties in institutional or commercial buildings preferred. </li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three professional references.
