<p>Beacon Mobility Corp.</p> <p>The Sr. Business Analyst supports the development and optimization of internal applications by gathering requirements and identifying operational needs. Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with business goals. Assists in documenting processes and supporting system enhancements.</p> <p>Beacon Mobility provides student transportation services to more than 300 school districts in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Illinois, and New York. Additionally, Beacon is a leading provider of paratransit services, operating over 1,500 vehicles and serving some of the nation's largest transit agencies in Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Over the next ten years, our goal is to be one of the leading national specialty transportation platforms through continued growth in the special needs, paratransit, and non-emergency medical transportation sectors.</p> <p>We're looking for a Business Analyst who thrives on solving real-world operational problems with technology. You'll work closely with dispatchers, drivers, safety teams, client relations, and developers to identify needs, shape solutions, and ensure successful product rollouts. Your focus will be on enhancing the user experience, improving workflows, and delivering high-impact solutions within our transportation software suite.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Partner with stakeholders to gather and analyze business needs and translate them into clear requirements and user stories </li><li>Develop business requirements documentation and user stories. </li><li>Lead discovery sessions and facilitate user feedback loops </li><li>Draw and maintain process maps and workflows to support clarity and solution design </li><li>Support existing systems by documenting bugs, gathering feedback, and helping coordinate fixes with technical teams </li><li>Participate in sprint planning, demos, and UAT to ensure business needs are met </li><li>Champion data-driven and AI-enabled approaches that automate routine tasks and surface actionable insights. </li><li>Serve as a product expert for Beacon Connect features across Dispatch, Routing, Safety, and Student Tracking modules </li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of our Business Analysis team </li></ul> <p>Education, Skills, Experience Needed</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in logistics, transportation, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>Familiarity with routing, dispatch, and charter systems is a strong plus </li><li>Proven ability to gather and document requirements, define workflows, and deliver technology solutions in operational or logistics-heavy environments </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users </li><li>Skilled in creating clear process maps and workflows </li><li>Proficient in tools like JIRA, Confluence, iGrafx, CoPilot, or similar platforms </li><li>Demonstrated ability to support systems post-deployment and identify opportunities for enhancements </li><li>Able to develop and manage long-term plans, including scheduling and implementation of key activities </li><li>Comfortable solving complex problems and creating methods, systems, or policies in situations with limited information </li><li>Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed </li><li>Maintains professionalism and confidentiality at all times </li><li>Willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits and requirements gathering </li><li>Proactive and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset </li></ul> <p>If you are ready to become part of our family and positively impact the lives of children in your community, this position is for you.
