Lavelle Industries, Inc. is searching for a Process Technician to support our Whitewater, WI facility. The Process Technician is a resource that will support the process engineer, tooling, and assistant supervisors. This role works as part of a team to plan, analyze, and control the quality of injection molded plastic products, and this position has a significant impact on OEE, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.</p> <p>The Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>The Process Technician's major role is to support daily operations with tooling startup, troubleshooting, and generally minimizing press downtime due to changeovers and day-to-day obstacles. </li><li>Performs tool start-ups after mold changes. Verifies mold, material, setup, and part quality </li><li>Perform mold changes as required </li><li>Assists in training operators when necessary </li><li>Maintain and audit standard work pertaining to process documentation, and ensure that equipment is operating as documented </li><li>Performs mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting of process equipment and tooling, assisting maintenance and tooling as required </li><li>Assists the process engineer on continuous improvement projects </li><li>Assist with mold samples </li><li>Supports the TPM program </li><li>Complete in-press insert changes </li><li>Set up and operate process equipment (press and secondary equipment) and tooling </li><li>Supports safety programs such as LOTO and machine guarding </li><li>Participates in Gemba walks </li><li>Utilizes Gemba boards to make continuous improvement projects visible and track progress. </li><li>Monitor, diagnose, and remedy operational performance of equipment/material/molds. </li><li>Assists production supervisors and the Quality Dept as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <p>The successful candidate will have a blend of experience for this position:</p> <ul> <li>1+ year experience in injection molded plastics </li><li>Experience with the scientific molding process </li><li>Experience with statistical process control is a plus </li><li>Must be proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>An Associate's degree in mechanical technology, industrial technology, plastics or equivalent experience is preferred.</p> <p>Personal Skills and Attributes</p> <p>Confident, autonomous self-starter.
