Join us in our mission - dedicated to patient safety, utilizing state-of-the-art technology, and with a passionate team of highly trained and compassionate individuals who strive to improve the health of the community.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Coordinates care of pain clinic patients with other health care providers, i.e. physician offices, pharmacists, and insurance carriers, physical and occupational therapy departments, and employers. Performs duties as a clinical nurse specializing in acute and chronic pain management to provide age-related care from adult through geriatric population. Assists anesthesiologist with consultations and treatments. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and families, physicians, visitors and other health system personnel. Accountable to patient and family for care provided, and to the Director of Surgical Services for the totality of performance. Attend internal and external meetings to keep current with literature. Meets all criteria/factors of the core values or competencies required by LMH</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Formulate nursing plan of care for pain management </li><li>Evaluate patient care outcomes utilizing Process Improvement </li><li>Adheres to policy and procedures according to standards of practice </li><li>Accurately document on specialized forms and patient agreements </li><li>Accurately enter billing information </li><li>Provide accurate clinical information to physician and physician's assistant and ancillary support services, such as hospital and physician coders for billing purposes </li><li>Assists anesthesiologist with epidural and other procedures, including those under fluoroscopy </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Current licensure State of Ohio </li><li>Keep current with technology </li><li>Uses Epic for patient information </li><li>Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies </li><li>Use of scheduling module to efficiently coordinate anesthesia and other services </li><li>Maintain customer service by supporting and demonstrating "Service Excellence" within the department and throughout the organization </li><li>LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards </li></ul> <p>Licking Memorial Health Systems is an equal opportunity employer and maintains compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations.
