<p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Title: Estimator</p> <p>Position Reports To: Vice President, Central Estimating</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Estimators are responsible for all aspects of bidding a project including labor, time and materials requirements to determine overall cost of projects. This role is responsible for increasing profitability through comprehensive cost estimating.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Interprets and analyzes contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepare estimates and bid proposals.</p> </li><li> <p>Estimates majority of the work applicable to the respective region or business line, including, target projects and owners list, and managing bid flow.</p> </li><li> <p>Reads and interprets sophisticated specs and drawings. Uses formulas and makes calculations.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of industrial services experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience reading isometric drawings</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience estimating industrial services lines of business, preferably scaffold and insulation</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge in safety procedure implementation is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and competing priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Effective communication and critical thinking skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines</p> </li><li> <p>Critical in managing the business and identifying problems or opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates ability to be flexible and quickly adaptable to changing conditions across all spectrums</p> </li><li> <p>Creative and innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basis</p> </li><li> <p>Effective participation in team environment, with both external and internal teammates</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Conditions/Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li> <p>Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods</p> </li><li> <p>Light work that includes moving objects up to twenty pounds</p> </li><li> <p>No adverse environmental conditions expected</p> </li></ul>
