IF YOU ARE ON AN ESTABLISHED LIST, YOUR LIST NUMBER MUST BE REACHABLE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR APPOINTMENT.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>MTA New York City Transit Paratransit (Access-A-Ride) is a federally mandated service, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, providing origin-to-destination, demand-response, shared ride transportation for individuals with disabilities that cannot use fixed route public buses and subways. The incumbents will be assigned to the Department of Paratransit unit listed below.</p> <p>Finance and Administration</p> <p>The selected candidate must be able to:</p> <ul> <li>Document processes, data definitions, and methodologies to ensure clarity and repeatability </li><li>Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions </li><li>Develop, track, and report KPI metrics to measure business performance </li><li>Write efficient, well documented code to combine, clean, and transform datasets to meet business needs and project requirements </li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and data pipeline optimization </li><li>Design and maintain operational reports to support processes such as monthly accruals and expense tracking </li><li>Apply quality control checks to all data outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability for the end users </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience using machine learning to forecast travel demand, analyze booking patterns, and optimize operational planning </li><li>Proficient in Python, R, SAS, and SQL for data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and modeling </li><li>Present findings in meetings, workshops, or written reports </li><li>Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to utilize databases (PAIRS, ADEPT, Power BI, Tableau) and develop analytical reports that provide insights to the business units </li><li>Familiarity with Paratransit operations </li></ul> <p>Other Information</p> <p>Pursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policy making position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the "Commission").</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>MTA and its subsidiary and affiliated agencies are Equal Opportunity Employers, including with respect to veteran status and individuals with disabilities.</p> <p>The MTA encourages qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and abilities, including military service members, to apply.</p>
