Ensure services of the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness in meeting the strategic goals and initiatives of the clinical enterprise. Oversee the development of policies, procedures, and processes to support and promote safe and effective use of enterprise applications to support integration of technology into academic, business, and clinical functions. Support the clinical, education, and research missions of the enterprise with evidenced-based and innovative processes, workflows, and training. Provide strategic planning, guidance and support for the enterprise wide business, clinical, and education technology strategies.</p> <p>Required Qualifications: Applications Director - Acute Care & EHR Business Applications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of seven years in business, or health care operations management, nursing, allied health, project management, process improvement, information technology or related field required. </li><li>Minimum of four years leadership experience required. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in business, clinical, healthcare, computer science, management information systems, or related field required. </li><li>Execution of business, education, or clinical strategic plans and goals required. </li><li>Manage information systems functions and personnel in education, business, or healthcare environment required. </li><li>Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills, independent problem-solving skills, and self-direction required. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal required. </li><li>Ability to motivate a diverse work force with varying degrees of technology background and knowledge required. </li><li>Ability to work with senior executives, physicians and hospital management required. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. </li><li>Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license OR appropriate allied health license in the state of Nebraska only as required in accordance with appropriate degree required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Applications Director - Acute Care & EHR Business Applications</p> <ul> <li>Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Electronic health record experience preferred. </li><li>Master's or doctoral degree in business or healthcare administration, clinical, computer science, management information systems, informatics or related field preferred. </li><li>Certificate in informatics or health information technology preferred. </li><li>Epic applications certification preferred. </li><li>Strong understanding of organization's policies and procedures, and business and clinical practice and operations preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Project preferred. </li><li>Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) or a program recognized by PMI preferred. </li><li>Professional certification in nursing informatics or healthcare information technology from accredited organization preferred. </li></ul> <p>Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
