<p>Position Information</p> <p>Posting Number NC00826 Position Title Director of Assessment & Accreditation Division Academic Affairs Division Department Name Feinstein School of Education and Human Development Position Type Staff - Non Classified Primary Purpose</p> <p>The Director of Assessment & Accreditation role provides an exciting opportunity to lead and support assessment and continuous improvement in a collaborative and engaged culture of undergraduate and graduate programs at the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development (FSEHD). The Director of Assessment and Accreditation utilizeslarge data sets to drive program improvement and supports FSEHD faculty and professional staff with assessment processes and documentation required for state and national accreditation. Working closely with the FSEHD Dean, the Director of Assessment and Accreditation supports grant and research related activities. The Director's work advances the FSEHD mission through data-informed practices centered on equity, access, and quality.</p> <p>Essential Duties</p> <ul> <li>Direct assessment-related activities consistent with the FSEHD mission, vision, and continuous improvement process. </li><li>Collect and maintain school-wide assessment data (key assessments, survey results, student learning outcomes, etc.) </li><li>Analyze and interpret data for informed decision-making to drive program improvement. </li><li>Document and communicate assessment results to faculty, staff, and other internal and external stakeholders to report program and school-wide strengths, challenges, trends, and opportunities. </li><li>Lead the accreditation process for educator preparation programs by working collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure program quality and compliance. </li><li>Serve as a member of the Dean's leadership team and the FSEHD Assessment and Program Improvement Committee. </li><li>Provide expert consultation to FSEHD personnel regarding research methodology, data management, and data analysis, interpretation, and visualization. </li><li>Execute duties related to creating a sustainable accountability culture in the FSEHD. </li></ul> <p>Occasional Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the FSEHD Dean. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong background in quantitative and qualitative assessment and evaluation. </li><li>Ability to effectively present data in graphical format. </li><li>Skills in designing, administering, and analyzing assessment instruments (e.g., rubrics, test blueprints, and alumni surveys). </li><li>Strong statistical analysis and computing skills, including proficiency in MS Office, database systems, statistical and survey software, and contemporary digital technologies. </li><li>Familiarity with web-based platforms to manage assessment data. </li><li>Ability to provide professional development in assessment through coaching or in person or virtual presentations. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills. </li><li>Strong initiative and effective organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with flexibility to adapt to diverse audiences. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Education: Earned master's or doctorate in Education, assessment and evaluation, statistics, or related field with relevant experience.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Assessment and evaluation relevant to higher education. </li><li>Educator-preparation or student learning-outcomes assessment. </li><li>State and/or national accreditation experience. </li><li>Continuous improvement or program review process to improve curriculum and student outcomes. </li><li>Survey development and assessment strategies for measuring impact and outcomes. </li><li>Leadership and administrative experience. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Doctorate in Education, assessment and evaluation, statistics, or related field. </li><li>Experience with state and/or national accreditation in educator preparation (e.g., CAEP, AAQEP, state program approval). </li><li>At least three years' administrative experience at the college/university level. </li><li>Bilingual. </li></ul> <p>Does this position have Direct Reports?
