Come be a part of something special!</p> <p>About This Role: </p> <p>Join us in an exhilarating temporary role as the Human Resources Analyst, where you'll dive into a dynamic array of tasks and projects that make a real impact within DSS! In this pivotal position, you'll take the helm in managing all Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, serving as the go-to contact in this vital area. You'll collaborate with eight (8) diverse divisions to review requests, collect essential data, expertly redact sensitive information, and ensure we are fully compliant with the Virginia Freedom of Information Act and state codes. Plus, you'll have the exciting opportunity to partner with the County Attorney's Office and FOIA Officers.</p> <p>But that's not all! You'll also be at the forefront of shaping our organizational culture through innovative employee engagement initiatives. Get ready to unleash your creativity as you design and implement internal strategies and communications that cultivate a vibrant, positive work environment. Collaborating with other County agencies, you'll be instrumental in fostering a culture of positivity and excellence that uplifts everyone.</p> <p>In addition to these thrilling projects, you'll support the DSS Human Resources team by skillfully overseeing and organizing communications from various shared inboxes, responding to general inquiries, and ensuring efficient collaboration. You'll also have the chance to take on special projects and tasks as directed by the Human Resources manager, giving you a platform to showcase your talents and drive meaningful change. This is not just a job; it's an incredible opportunity to make a difference!</p> <p>Minimum Requirements: </p> <p>High school diploma or G.E.D. and four (4) years of related Human Resources administration and employee engagement programs or initiatives experience. </p> <p>Preferences: </p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in human resource management, business, public administration, or a related field. </li><li>Two (2) or more years of experience responding to and handling Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. </li><li>Four (4) or more years of experience in Human Resources Administration. </li><li>Five (5) or more years of creating, developing, and executing employee engagement programs or initiatives. </li><li>Strong listening, creative thinking, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to build relationships and influence diverse individuals. </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicating effectively with various levels of staff. </li><li>Advocate for innovation, change, and diversity, focused on improving performance and outcomes. </li><li>Proven organizational skills - be willing to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong facilitation and presentation skills. </li><li>Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Proven team player and customer service oriented. </li><li>Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. </li><li>Self-motivated, analytical, and capable of making sound judgments. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. </li></ul> <p>Special Requirements (if applicable): </p> <ul> <li>All DSS staff are required to provide emergency human services work, including staffing emergency shelters in the event of a community disaster. </li><li>Candidates must pass criminal history, child protective services, and DMV background checks. </li><li>Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William foster-care program may not be employed by the Prince William Department of Social Services. Resource/foster parents for youth from other localities are welcome to apply. </li><li>Staff in this position must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive for work. </li><li>Staff in this position may periodically be eligible to telework but will be required to report to the office intermittently. Telework eligibility is subject to change as business needs warrant; there is no guarantee of telework. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: </p> <p>37.5 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. This is a telework-eligible role that may revert to in-office scheduling if business needs change.</p> <p>Hiring Salary Range: $33.80 to $47.65 Hourly</p> <p>Prince William County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
