Discover your opportunities at Yale!</p> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>$66,000.00 - $101,325.00</p> <p>Overview Under the supervision and direction of the Law School Registrar, the Associate Registrar provides primary functional support for systems operations of the Yale Law School (YLS) Office of the Registrar. The Associate Registrar is responsible for systems and information management, registration, data reporting and student data analysis to support the implementation of the Law School and University academic policies and procedures, and to improve systems and applications through workflow analysis, business systems re-engineering and training. The successful incumbent will work to: Lead the YLS Registrar's Office in systems management, including but not limited to, ongoing support of the student information systems (Banner, Application tender, DegreeWorks), the online examination system, supplemental databases and associated reporting. Provide critical ad hoc and routine academic data reports while maintaining organized records related to data analysis and reporting. Collaborate with third-party vendors and ITS, including business process analysis, requirement definitions, and data validations to support the implementation and maintenance of data integrations. Serve as an initial point of contact for technology system issues impacting registrar applications. Develop and maintain YLS Registrar user testing plans and reporting catalog. Coordinate registration, including course setup and maintenance, Law School pre-registration period and the open add/drop period. Create website content, documentation, and training materials Deliver effective service communication through email, web presence, and formal publications. Identify and assess new functionality and recommend sustainable changes to improve student services and data flow efficiency. Act as steward for academic information and manage data for accuracy. Maintain the operations and policies of the Registrar's Office. Assist with processes and projects across the department. The essential duties listed below are generic in nature. Demonstrated experience working with student information systems, software applications, reporting tools and data management platforms or demonstrated experience in a registrar's office or in a comparable area of academic administration. 2. Excellent analytical, organizational and data management skills. Ability to modify and write sophisticated reports or have proven ability to learn those tools. 3. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to use diplomacy and tact, maintain confidential information, and engage positively and constructively with faculty, students, and staff. Ability to write and edit technical process, end-user training documents, and continuously document business processes. 4. Accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, synthesize information and instruction to function independently and autonomously while contributing to the work of the Law School Registrar's Office. 5. Ability to articulate complex technical issues and processes in a concise and easily understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team while fostering collaboration among a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a large, complex academic environment. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills Comprehensive experience w/ student information systems such as: Banner, DegreeWorks, AppXtender, Dynamic Forms, or Canvas and the integration of university data systems. Expertise in web-based administration applications such as AirTable, Confluence, JIRA, and SalesForce. Proficient in preparing and testing complex queries and reports using Argos, Power BI, SQL, or other reporting tools.</p> <p>Principal Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Recommends and sets policies governing student records systems. 2. Determines final exam schedules. 3. Prepares and publishes exam schedules and classroom assignments. 4. Plans and reviews the system used for the registration process and the method for maintaining student records. 5. Oversees the preparation of the degree list. 6. Designs and develops classroom allocations and assignments. 7. Directs, writes, edits, and produces the supplements to University programs of study. 8. Supervises the receipt, processing, and recording of grades. 9. Reviews and analyzes all petitions for degrees under University requirements. 10. Solicits enrollment projections and specialized information on requirements for departments and residential Deans. 11. Advises students, faculty, and administrative staff on regulations governing privacy. 12. Prepares and presents prospective student curriculums to Dean. 13. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and four years of experience in a college registrar's office or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ol> <p>Background Check Requirements</p> <p>All candidates for employment will be subject to pre-employment background screening for this position, which may include motor vehicle, DOT certification, drug testing and credit checks based on the position description and job requirements.
