This is a unique opportunity to work with a client who is revolutionizing how individuals access and pay for desired healthcare services, moving beyond traditional pharma/biotech to influence a broader landscape of care.</p> <p>We are looking for a strategic powerhouse and a hands-on leader to serve as a trusted advisor and "right-hand" to our client in the healthcare finance space. This isn't your typical healthcare account; it's an exciting challenge for someone passionate about empowering individuals to access the healthcare they want, from dental to cosmetic surgery and specialty care like fertility and hearing. You will be an integral part of a multi-faceted account leadership team, instrumental in shaping public perception, driving brand awareness, and advocating for innovative solutions within a highly regulated and complex industry. Success in this role hinges on your exceptional ability to connect the dots across diverse client needs, internal workstreams, and external market dynamics to deliver cohesive and impactful strategies. This role offers the unique chance to not only lead external communications but also to influence internal disciplines within the client organization.</p> <p>This client is a true consumer advocate and a dedicated partner for small and mid-sized businesses, including individual providers and small group practices. Their mission is to be a vital part of the solution, helping people navigate and pay for the healthcare they desire that is not covered by insurance, all within their budget.</p> <p>You will regularly interact with the most senior client leadership, including the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, requiring you to be buttoned-up, confident, thoughtful, and an exceptional listener. Your counsel, materials, and results must consistently reflect the highest quality, and you will be a key contributor to our overarching account team's strategic leadership, sharing your unique perspectives to drive the client's business forward.</p> <p>For a healthcare PR professional, this account will force you to think outside the usual pharma/biotech box and is ideal for someone who prefers unique healthcare adjacent work. If your background is in finance, you'll be challenged to deeply understand the impact of the evolving healthcare landscape and policies on our client, their provider partners, and their cardholders.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Client Leadership: Provide well-informed and thoughtful strategic counsel to the client, anticipating their needs, identifying opportunities, and developing comprehensive communication strategies that align with and exceed their business objectives. </li><li>Brand Building & Defense: Spearhead initiatives to GROW and enhance brand awareness among both physicians/providers and consumers. Develop robust strategies to proactively DEFEND the brand against competitive threats and market challenges. </li><li>Content & Research Development: Thoughtfully conceptualize and execute campaigns that may include conducting proprietary research for publication, garnering compelling testimonials, and developing other high-impact content to achieve client goals. </li><li>Team Leadership & Motivation: Inspire, mentor, and manage a high-performing account team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. This includes guiding the team to effectively prioritize efforts and ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of excellence. </li><li>Dynamic Prioritization & Deliverable Management: Expertly manage multiple concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic client environment, effectively prioritizing needs and guiding the team to focus on the most impactful activities to achieve client goals. </li><li>Complex Industry Navigation: Expertly navigate the intricacies of highly regulated industries, specifically healthcare and finance/financial technology, translating complex B2B and B2B2C concepts into clear, compelling narratives. </li><li>Uncovering & Articulating Needs: Proactively uncover latent client needs and articulate strategic solutions with confidence and clarity, acting as a true partner and advocate. </li><li>Detail-Oriented Execution: Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail, identifying and understanding nuanced facts and critical differences that are vital to the client's business success. </li><li>Continuous Learning & Application: Consistently string together learnings from past campaigns and market insights to inform and optimize future strategies and activities. </li><li>Advocacy & Problem Solving: Champion the client's mission to help people access ways of paying for the healthcare they desire, actively problem-solving and advocating for innovative solutions. </li><li>Problem-Solver & "Can-Do" Mentality: Provide seasoned senior counsel with a proactive, hands-on approach, consistently tackling challenges with a problem-solving and can-do mindset, and actively contributing to execution to deliver tangible solutions. </li></ul> <p>Experience that contributes to success:</p> <ul> <li>Senior-Level Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in public relations, communications, or marketing, with a significant portion at a senior leadership level (SVP/GVP equivalent). </li><li>Agency Experience: Demonstrated experience working within an agency environment, ideally with clients in the health, healthcare-adjacent, or other highly regulated industries. </li><li>Non-traditional Healthcare Expertise: Proven track record of success working with non-traditional healthcare clients (beyond pharma/biotech) is ideal. Experience working with clients in the healthcare finance, financial technology, or related highly regulated B2B and B2B2C sectors is a significant plus. </li><li>B2B Campaign Strategy & Impact: Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing Business-to-Business (B2B) campaigns, with a clear focus on delivering measurable impact, fostering engagement, and cultivating product loyalty. </li><li>Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop long-term communication plans, and anticipate client needs and market shifts. </li><li>Exceptional Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives, deliver persuasive presentations, and provide confident, articulate counsel. </li><li>Brand Building Prowess: Extensive experience in building and defending brands, particularly with diverse audiences including physicians/providers and consumers. </li><li>Collaborative Leadership & Mentorship: Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and manage high-performing teams within a collaborative, multi-faceted account structure. </li><li>Agility & Prioritization: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic client environment, adept at managing multiple priorities and deliverables, and guiding teams through complex project landscapes. </li><li>Critical Thinking & Detail Orientation: A keen analytical mind with an unwavering attention to detail, capable of discerning critical nuances in complex information. </li><li>Curiosity & Adaptability: Naturally curious, a quick study, and eager to dive deep into new subject matter to effectively lead and innovate. </li><li>Advocacy & Passion: A genuine interest in helping people access desired healthcare services and a passion for problem-solving within this unique space. </li><li>Financial Acumen & Budget Management: Proven experience in managing and growing significant account budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure profitability, efficient project delivery, and realistic team workloads. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?
