<p>General Purpose</p> <p>Serves as a cashier and sales associate while providing outstanding customer service, restocking, and assisting in inventory management, becoming an expert in course materials, and helping with other bookstore projects.</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>M-TH 11:15 - 4pm</p> <p>Occasional night shift 3:00 - 7:00</p> <p>Every other Friday</p> <p>Job Focus</p> <ul> <li>Works as cashier/clerk in the College bookstore. </li><li>Reconciles cash box and creates deposits for bookstore purchases. </li><li>Effectively merchandises the sales floor. </li><li>Oversees assigned areas of inventory and assists with orders. </li><li>Serves as an expert in required textbooks and supplies for each program. </li><li>Assists with incoming inventory counts and receiving. </li><li>Performs other related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>One (1) year of proven experience performing related dutiesin retail sales, cashiering, stocking, customer service. </li><li>Position requires graduation from high school or equivalent. </li><li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Must be self-motivated. </li><li>Must feel comfortable enforcing store policy. </li><li>Working knowledge of cash registers, inventory control, merchandising, stocking shelves, and customer service. </li><li>Basic knowledge of computer applications. </li><li>Some knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting. </li><li>Proficient in 10 key operation and basic mathematics. </li><li>Skilled in operation of various types of office equipment. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively. </li></ul> <p>Process/Application</p> <p>The Davis Technical College complies with all aspects of the ADA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
