<p>TEACHER</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Tri-West High School is seeking a dedicated and student-focused English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous English Language Arts instruction to high school students, fostering critical thinking, writing, and communication skills.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan and implement lessons aligned with Indiana Academic Standards for English Language Arts. </li><li>Develop a curriculum that fosters critical reading, writing, and analytical skills. </li><li>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs. </li><li>Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments. </li><li>Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance learning outcomes. </li><li>Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom. </li><li>Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and engagement. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to ensure student success. </li><li>Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress. </li><li>Participate in professional development and school-related activities. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Indiana Teaching License in English/Language Arts (Grades 9-12) or eligibility for licensure. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field. </li><li>Strong knowledge of literature, composition, and grammar instruction. </li><li>Excellent communication and classroom management skills. </li><li>Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. </li><li>Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching high school English courses. </li><li>Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment strategies. </li><li>Experience with integrating technology into instruction. </li><li>Ability to sponsor or coach extracurricular activities (preferred but not required). </li></ul> <p>Salary & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Compensation per the NWHSC teacher salary schedule. </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement options. </li><li>Professional development opportunities and support for continuing education. </li></ul>
