PERFORMS ELECTRICAL TESTING OF ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT TO ENSURE THAT JCAHO AND OTHER STANDARDS ARE MET. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS I NSTALLS, REPAIRS, REPLACES AND TESTS ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS AND EQUIPMENT SYSTEMS ARE HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR CONDITION AND EMERGENCY POWER GENERATING EQUIPMENT. READS AND INTERPRETS BLUEPRINTS AND INSTALLS WIRING TO THEIR SPECIFICATIONS. - ESTIMATES COST OF ELECTRICAL JOBS. - REQUESTS ADMINISTRATIVE PERMITS FOR INSTALLATION. - TESTS EQUIPMENT FOR GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR UPON COMPLETION OF WORK. - PERFORMS ALL WORK IN A NEAT AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER. - MUST BE FLEXIBLE FOR PROJECT SUPPORT AND SHIFT COVERAGE. JUDGEMENT/DECISION MAKING - Makes independent decisions within the scope of defined job description. - Seeks guidance as necessary for performance of duties. - Identifies a situation, opportunity, problem, or issue, assesses it from a variety of perspectives, considers several alternatives; chooses appropriate course of action when presented with non-routine situations. - Prioritizes work to meet department/hospital needs, standards and deadlines. - Identifies and responds appropriately to needs of patients and others. - Communicates pertinent information to appropriate persons in a timely manner.
