We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to improve and build new processes that support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients they serve.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Senior Director, Accounting UUG, is a strategic financial leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the division's accounting function. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Accounting, this position provides strong leadership and direction to the divisional accounting team, ensuring financial health, accuracy, and compliance of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team. This role requires a driven individual with good understanding of technical skills around base accounting, great communication skills, the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders/physician practice leadership, and overall natural curiosity with the desire to continue to learn. The Senior Director of Accounting will oversee a team of [8-15] professionals. OneOncology/United Urology has a very collaborative, energetic, and fast-paced culture and this individual will need to have the ability to integrate into this ever changing and growing environment.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop strong working and collaborative relationships with our practice leadership to both assist the practices as well as hold them accountable for proper accounting processes/financial reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Regularly work with practice and operations leadership to understand and resolved business issues and opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Work with internal FP&A team to understand and communicate business trends</p> </li><li> <p>Present financial and accounting matters for the division to the Financial leadership and other executives</p> </li><li> <p>Work with Corporate Accounting on implementation of new accounting standards, processes, or directives</p> </li><li> <p>Work with Corporate Accounting to oversee proper, timely and consistent balance sheet reconciliations</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the quality and integrity of financial statements</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial information (P&L and B/S) to the practices</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and implement process improvements to overhaul, optimize, and consistently improve the monthly close cycle</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in M&A activity and integration, reengineering and special projects with a specific focus on ensuring the accuracy of all related accounting transactions</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate divisional financial statement reporting and review with the FP&A team and operational leaders on a monthly basis</p> </li><li> <p>Hiring, training and development of staff</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with performance evaluations and recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Competencies:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Demonstrate leadership and personal initiative.? Proactively identify potential business problems and propose solutions in?advance of?their becoming?a crisis.</p> </li><li> <p>Proactive & driven leader with strong desire to serve others, achieve deadlines and drive the business</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills - ability to influence others while making direct points</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to synthesize complex financial data into understandable messaging</p> </li><li> <p>Detail oriented, natural ability to pay close attention to details</p> </li><li> <p>Desire to "get it right" the first time and hold staff accountable for same mentality</p> </li><li> <p>Strong technical accounting knowledge (revenue recognition, lease accounting, liability recognition..etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly improve and create a culture of constant improvement within their teams</p> </li><li> <p>Strong management capabilities, skills, and techniques to plan, execute, and achieve results related to the complex and urgent needs of the business</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to build out and supervise teams across multiple locations</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and completion</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem solving skills with an ability to offer alternative solutions to each problem</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in a geographically separated, cross-functional environment and lead cross-functional initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Proven collaboration skills, works with a sense of urgency, and prioritizes action items</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to meet deadlines and motivate teams to meet deadlines</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to travel to work with practices when required</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Charismatic management style with the ability to influence others to achieve goals</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to build, manage and motivate personnel to create high performing teams</p> </li><li> <p>7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare</p> </li><li> <p>Prior supervisory experience in managing accounting personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Strong accounting skills, preferably in a healthcare setting</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Workday is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in achieving high results and optimizing performance within a highly complex and matrix organization</p> </li><li> <p>Strong financial and business acumen with excellent strategic and analytical thinking capacity</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to partner and effectively convene teams at practice levels and gain commitment/support to achieve results that support strategy initiatives and the overarching care delivery and care financing strategy</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Accounting required</p> </li><li> <p>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required</p> </li></ul> <p>#LI-LK1</p>
