CT certification required. This position is a 200 day work year.</p> <p>Candidate must submit:</p> <p>Online application</p> <p>Resume</p> <p>Cover letter</p> <p>Three letters of recommendation</p> <p>Transcripts</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains inventory (e.g. supplies, learning materials, equipment, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring EL programming is providing required services to students. </li><li>Monitors student progress (e.g. data analysis, testing scores, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring program effectiveness while adhering to state and federal regulations. </li><li>Oversees EL program testing for the purpose of ensuring proper standards and regulations are met ensuring proper and required services are provided to EL students. </li><li>Provides professional development for the purpose of ensuring proper implementation and adherence to regulations for EL programming and pedagogy. </li><li>Screens prospective EL students for the purpose of ensuring students receive necessary and required support. </li><li>Translates written materials and/or forms and conversations in meetings for the purpose of ensuring that non-English speaking families have a clear understanding of information or services. </li><li>Verifies translations made by others for the purpose of ensuring accuracy, context, readability, grammar and style. </li><li>Design EL tutor caseloads and schedules. </li><li>Oversee implementation of EL services via use of goal design template. </li><li>Provide and organize professional development for EL tutors. </li><li>Runs monthly EL dept meetings. </li><li>Oversees design and use of EL Lead Facilitators (stipend roles for three teachers). </li><li>Organize parent information sessions and training. </li><li>Meet monthly with the Assistant Superintendent of Special Services to review program status. </li><li>Submit order requests for instructional materials. </li><li>Collaborate with special services administration for the design of the TItle III grant. </li><li>Communicate with building administrators regularly about implementation of EL instruction in their schools. </li></ul>
