INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS & RESUMES RECEIVED IN LIEU OF APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.</p> <p>CLASSIFICATION: NONINST 02 ($22.43-$26.11 per hour)</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Medical terminology experience desired </li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish), desired </li><li>Excellent customer service skills: telephone, email, written and verbal communication </li><li>Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds. </li><li>Highly organized in time management skills. </li><li>Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, electronic student databases, email, etc. </li><li>Ensure high standards of confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA/FERPA </li><li>Ability to promote and follow district and building policies and procedures </li><li>Ability to recognize and follow workplace safety rules and practices </li><li>Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds desired </li></ul> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Per Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) Office of Early Childhood, complete the IZ requirement within 30 calendar days of employment and on an annual basis thereafter. </li><li>Request and obtain access to the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS) for official records of immunizations. </li><li>Ensure designated IZ staff complete the CIIS training, have access to CIIS, and can look up IZ records as needed. </li><li>Review immunization records for school entry and accept valid doses of vaccines according to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). </li><li>Ensure that the student meets Colorado law requirements of being fully vaccinated, in-process, or has a medical or non-medical exemption. </li><li>Review the district student information system, Infinite Campus (IC), Person Documents, for current immunization records from the students' clinic or previous school. </li><li>Check the immunization records for accuracy and upload into Person Documents. </li><li>Train and supervise designated school IZ staff in reviewing IZ records, documenting in IC, and notifying parents if IZs are needed. </li><li>Provide weekly oversight and support to IZ staff to track and improve IZ compliance. </li><li>Run monthly immunization reports, submit them to each school, and enter the data on a spreadsheet for the school nurses and for the monthly meetings with the Director of Integrated Services. </li><li>Contact health provider/clinic for current vaccine records, or troubleshoot reasons why immunizations were not administered. </li><li>Provide office staff with current "Parent Letters", "Letter of Requirements" and "Letter of Exclusion" for non-compliant students. </li><li>Train and provide support to IZ staff to gather vaccine compliance data at each school and submit the annual Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Immunization Data Report, due January 15 of each year. </li><li>Calculate the state-required MMR IZ compliance and exemption rates for each school, for inclusion in the CDPHE's Schools and Child Care Centers Parent Letter, sent out every February 15, to district families. </li><li>Ensure designated preschool IZ staff have completed the Professional Development Information System (PDIS) IZ course referenced in IZ Entry and Compliance. </li><li>Support IZ staff in tracking, obtaining, and documenting health appraisals (physicals) and required vaccines for preschool per licensing requirements of CDHS Office of Early Childhood. </li><li>Train and assist designated office staff to review and document in IC, immunizations from records provided by the parent/guardian, and health conditions provided via online registration (OLR). </li><li>Train office staff to check for pediculosis (head lice) and follow procedures if head lice are present. Additional duties include documentation in IC and by providing support, education and resources to families and staff. </li><li>Perform general office duties as needed, including answering phones, emails, making copies, sending faxes, assisting with data collection, and distributing mail. </li><li>Assist in hearing and vision screenings as needed. </li></ul> <p>Westminster Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
