<p>This position has two main roles with time being spent equally between both roles.</p> <p>Varsity esport Team Management Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Actively conducting official practices and games for approximately 12 hours a week in game title of expertise (League of Legends, Valorant, Super Smash Bros, Rocket League, etc.) </li><li>Breaking down game film/strategizing/scouting </li><li>Varsity player development </li><li>Recruiting varsity specific players </li><li>Working with teams not in the game title of expertise to assist with team dynamics and support </li></ul> <p>Administrative Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Scheduling/programming competitive and recreational esports opportunities for students </li><li>Risk management </li><li>Budget and resource management </li><li>Supervising hourly staff (including approval and monitoring of hours) </li><li>Assessment of programs including measurement of learning outcomes and meeting the division of Student Access and Success goals and metrics </li><li>Summer Camps/Special event management </li><li>Engagement with area high school's esports and traditional sports programs and players for recruitment (non-varsity team recruitment) </li><li>Sponsorship and scholarship development for esports and all sport clubs </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree. </li><li>Experience in competitive esports; experience may include esports program organization, team management including recruitment, coaching, playing, or other related experience in the esport industry. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in raising funds, solicitation of gifts-in-kind, and/or establishing sponsorship with both corporate and community partners. </li><li>Event management experience. </li><li>Experience in budget management. </li><li>Experience recruiting, hiring, training, supervising and evaluating student employees and/or volunteers. </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated problem-solving and conflict management skills. </li><li>Experience in working in higher education and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, community/business entities. </li><li>Experience with streaming and online broadcasting as it relates to esports programs. </li><li>Understanding and knowledge of college esports industry, leagues, structure, competitive gaming, and esport groups such as NECC, NACE and other organizations </li></ul> <p>A successful candidate will be willing to Background Check?
