This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.</p> <p>As a project manager you will provide project management for the Professional Satisfaction and Practice Sustainability (PS2) unit as a key part of the PS2 Content Strategy and Operations Team (CSOT). Responsible for the initial planning and research of the projects along with identifying the feasibility of the project based on PS2 capacity. Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, and monitoring of each project. Collaborate and coordinate with other PS2 colleagues, AMA units, partners and vendors to ensure the successful development of projects. Ensure project outcomes align and enable achievement of business goals; actively seek out user feedback with internal and external stakeholder groups and identify opportunities to improve the overall impact of PS2's projects and initiatives.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Project Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage multiple medium complexity cross-functional projects or programs simultaneously, creating and maintaining project plans, updating status reports, and tracking and resolving issues </li><li>Define scope of the project in conjunction with stakeholders and PS2 and CSOT leadership, and obtain approval prior to initiating project plans. </li><li>Create detailed schedules, properly sequence activities and resources to meet deadlines </li><li>Identify project risks and issues, develop appropriate solutions and bring to leadership for their awareness and input </li><li>Create and properly maintain documentation for project meetings, collaborator deliverables acceptance, and project change orders </li><li>Consistently utilize and contribute to improvement of project management processes, templates and tools </li><li>Build and manage critical working relationships with leadership and teams within CSOT, PS2 and across AMA, along with external partners/vendor for successful implementation of initiatives; represent the BU at meetings with various stakeholders </li></ul> <p>Planning and Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Support the Director of Content Strategy and Operations in defining and designing a strategic framework that supports the execution and continuous improvement of impactful initiatives that advance physician professional satisfaction and practice sustainability </li><li>Build cohesive plans to accomplish PS2 and CSOT objectives, identifying specific areas of opportunity through quantitative and qualitative analysis, and formulating goals and milestones that will enable the business unit to achieve those objectives </li><li>Develop and analyze key metrics and outcomes that evaluate the effectiveness of the BU's content, initiatives, and programs; oversee the maintenance of dashboards to track and report on KPIs across PS2; leverage data to continually iterate and improve upon existing strategies. </li><li>Draft quarterly and annual reports for PS2 and AMA leadership documenting PS2 actual and projected progress toward its goals </li></ul> <p>May include other responsibilities as assigned</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in health care administration, public health, or business preferred </li><li>Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in project management required. PMP certification preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) preferred and with content publishing preferred. </li><li>Experience with Excel or other KPI tracking, and data aggregation required or equivalent experience </li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and execute multiple projects, to achieve project deliverables with a strong track record of high quality and on time completion; able to handle ambiguity and adapt effectively to changing circumstances </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting senior leadership communications. </li><li>Experience in a physician practice and/or health system preferred. </li><li>Proven ability to build and strengthen existing and new internal and external relationships and to work cross-functionally </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting as well as independently; polished interpersonal, consensus-building, and negotiation skills </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with project tracking software required; knowledge of Asana a plus </li><li>Some travel required </li></ul> <p>This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is 85,680 - $113,526. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employees are also eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
