INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS & RESUMES RECEIVED IN LIEU OF APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Must pass various pre-placement background screenings </li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age </li><li>Security experience desirable </li><li>Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English </li><li>Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desired. </li></ul> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates interest and attitude for working with high school students </li><li>Monitors high school campus including building and grounds to prevent fire, theft, illegal entry, and vandalism </li><li>Supervises the faculty and student parking areas as well as monitoring vehicles which use campus access roads/lanes to and from high school buildings </li><li>Reports any unusual or suspicious conditions in and around high school campuses </li><li>Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning, redirecting them, and/or calling for assistance according to emergency plans </li><li>Confronts suspected drug or alcohol offenders and reporting such confrontations to building administrators </li><li>Maintains a safe, secure and orderly learning environment </li><li>Demonstrates effective two-way communication with building administrators, public agency personnel, faculty, students, and visitors </li><li>Manages assigned responsibilities effectively and efficiently </li><li>Maintains knowledge and skill in student management and school safety issues </li></ul> <p>Westminster Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
