It consists of twenty-six faculty, twenty-one academic staff, three administrative members, and more than one hundred graduate students. It is an extremely productive research-oriented department with a strong commitment to academic excellence. The individual in this position functions in a highly professional capacity for the department.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Department of English at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications to fill a probationary academic staff position in First-Year Writing. The initial appointment will be for one academic year with the future possibility of rolling multi-year contracts. The appointment will start August 25, 2025.</p> <p>Candidates should have experience teaching one or more of the following: first-year composition, college writing and research, basic writing, and/or English as a Second Language.
