A warehouse technician is also relied upon to move material within the warehouse for consolidation of space and for staging of material for pending shipments.</p> <p>Principal Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Able to move product from both production lines to the appropriate location in warehouse:</p> <ul> <li>Use dual-front tire forklift to physically move units in to and around warehouse </li><li>Utilize RF Terminal to properly designate location of material within the warehouse management information system </li><li>Observe safety processes and procedures at all times </li></ul> <p>Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a clean work environment through regular housekeeping and cleaning </li><li>Ability to utilize the in house floor scrubber to aid in cleaning. </li><li>Complete all housekeeping activities in a safe manner </li></ul> <p>Staging product for pending scheduled shipments:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read staging reports for product and quantity </li><li>Use forklift to move the appropriate material and quantity of product to staging area </li><li>Utilize RF terminal to properly scan said product to staging location </li><li>Complete all staging activities in a safe manner </li><li>Repaire/fix pallets </li></ul> <p>Ability to fulfill shipments by placing them on various types of transportation platforms:</p> <ul> <li>While observing safety processes and procedures, use forklift to place required product on to vehicle </li><li>Ability to generate and read paperwork and leverage knowledge of warehouse layout to efficiently load product </li><li>Utilize RF terminal to electronically record movement of inventory to order from warehouse information system. </li><li>Follow route sheets to understand where material is stored in warehouse. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to do basic mathematical calculations </li><li>Ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent </li><li>Experience using a radio frequency terminal (commonly referred to as an "RF Terminal" or "scan gun") </li><li>SAP experience is preferred but not required </li></ul> <p>Essential Physical Requirements/Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Ability to routinely lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance </li><li>Work up to 12 hours in hot/cold manufacturing environment </li><li>Walk/stand on concrete floor continuously for up to 12 hours </li><li>Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - steel-toed shoes, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) hearing protection and long-sleeved shirt (with shirt tail tucked in) as necessary for task </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401k Retirement Savings Plan & Employee Stock Purchase Plan </li><li>Multiple comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision & Prescription options </li><li>Quarterly VIP Bonuses </li><li>Healthy living incentives and rewards </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Company Paid Basic Life Insurance & Short-Term Disability </li></ul> <p>About Owens Corning</p> <p>Owens Corning is a residential and commercial building products leader committed to building a sustainable future through material innovation.
