<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Extended Day/Extended Day Floater</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/24/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>PCCS district</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>District:</p> <p>  Plymouth-Canton Community Schools  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>POSITION: Extended Day Floater</p> <p>Assistant and Supervisor Floater Positions</p> <p>Extended Day Program</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High School graduate. </li><li>Previous experience working with school age children and/or university related course work. </li><li>Demonstrate aptitude and/or competence working with school age children. </li><li>Site Supervisor Floater must have a minimum of 60 hours of college course working, including 12 hours in a child related field. </li></ul> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Reports to Kids' Time sites as assigned by the substitute caller. </li><li>Work cooperatively with the site team to implement daily activities. </li><li>Carry out lesson plans and follow daily schedule as outlined by site director when site director absent. </li><li>Develop effective communication with the parents of children enrolled in the program. Work with School Resource Personnel as needed. </li><li>Provide a safe, nurturing, child-oriented environment and meet Environmental Health guidelines regarding cleanliness. </li><li>Maintain effective communication with substitute caller and with home base supervisor. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Extended Day Coordinator. </li></ul> <p>This description is intended to describe the essential job functions, the general supplemental functions, and the essential requirements for the performance of this job. Other functions may be assigned, and management retains the right to add or change duties at any time.</p> <p>BEGINNING DATE: August 25, 2025</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Extended Day Program Coordinator</p> <p>RATE OF PAY: $16.04 - $18.21 per hour - Assistant Floater</p> <p>$18.09 - $20.54 per hour with minimum of 60 hours of college course work, including 12 hours in child related field- Supervisor Floater</p> <p>Pay based on education and experience</p> <p>HOURS: 6:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. and/or</p> <p>3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.</p> <p>Days to be determined dependent on applicants' availability and department needs.</p> <p>METHOD OF APPLICATION:</p> <p>INTERNAL APPLICANTS - Apply online using the Internal Applicants section. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. Occasionally the employee will bend or twist at the neck more than the average person. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs such as boxes of books. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, or work output of other people. The fingerprinting is conducted by a third party and is at the expense of the applicant. The cost for fingerprinting is approximately $70.00.</p> <p>A second set of fingerprints is also needed for LARA (childcare licensing). The cost is approximately $61.00.
