We study how RNA folding shapes gene expression, evolution, and disease by applying high-throughput experimental approaches (massively parallel assays, library design & construction, RNA structure probing, ...).</p> <p>The Schärfen lab uses high-throughput experimental and computational methods to study</p> <p>causes and consequences of RNA structure formation. Our approaches are drawn from</p> <p>fields including genomics, data science, systems biology, and biochemistry.
