This position will primarily serve 8th and 9th grade students, providing instruction in foundational science concepts, fostering scientific inquiry, and promoting critical thinking and hands-on learning. <strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong> Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement engaging, standards-based science lessons aligned with the Arkansas Department of Education curriculum frameworks. </li><li>Teach 8th and 9th grade science, which may include topics such as physical science, earth science, life science, and introductory biology or environmental science. </li><li>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology tools to accommodate diverse learners. </li><li>Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, participation, and academic growth. </li><li>Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and behavior. </li><li>Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school staff regarding academic performance and classroom expectations. </li><li>Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school-related events. </li><li>Uphold school policies, procedures, and the overall mission of Des Arc High School. </li></ul>
