Together, our employees in North America and Europe work to provide Flexjet aircraft Owners with the finest experience in premium private jet travel.</p> <p>Recognized as the global leader in aircraft and component remanufacturing, Flexjet has redefined the business aviation industry by using reimagined engineering and production capabilities to transform used business aircraft into new modern airframes.</p> <p>This position is located in Cleveland, OH</p> <p>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Strong buffing and polishing skills </li><li>Ability to spray a variety of paints and finishes, primer base coat, clear coat and single stage. </li><li>Ability to apply coatings to details parts, sub-assemblies and major assemblies of aircraft exterior and interior parts to customer or company specifications and industry standards. </li><li>Selects finish ingredients and mixes them by hand or machine to obtain specified color or shade to specifications or match existing finish (sanding, bodywork, primer, paint, finish wet sand and buff). </li><li>Ability to perform small blown in repairs and blending of topcoats. </li><li>Calculates mix ratios in order to mix sealant, filler materials, and paint </li><li>Must have experience cutting and buffing polyesters, urethanes, imron and acrylic clear coats </li><li>Applies </li><li>Demonstrate competency in applying the following to perform normal job duties </li><li>Familiar with and have operational knowledge of department tools </li><li>Performs moderately complex to complex filling operations related to the cosmetic appearance of the part being worked </li><li>Removes excess material and prepares the surface for finishing </li><li>Performs difficult masking operations </li><li>Documents the work performed on the work orders </li><li>Seeks methods to cross train to develop technical skills and business knowledge </li><li>Assist aircraft technicians when necessary </li><li>Performs other duties as required </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>High school or GED </li><li>Minimum five (5) years of touch up/color matching experience </li><li>Automotive refinishing experience desired, aircraft painting experience a plus </li><li>Requires excellent communication skills </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>Must be flexible with shift work </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
