The Cybersecurity Specialist will serve as subject-matter expert (SME) providing direct support to the frontline Cybersecurity Analysts, along being the focal point for all SOC/Tier 1 escalations, responsible for leading all troubleshooting bridges, and managing cyber related projects . The Cybersecurity Specialist will also continuously and collaboratively improve processes, procedures, and training, for new technologies and defensive security techniques. The candidate must have a curious investigative mind, a passion for information security, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to varied audiences.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Detect, identify, and alert on potential cyber attacks, intrusions, and anomalies, distinguishing malicious from benign activity.</p> </li><li> <p>Use cyber defense tools for continuous monitoring, event correlation, and situational awareness.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze malicious activity to identify exploited vulnerabilities, attack methods, and system impacts.</p> </li><li> <p>Document, escalate, and report incidents with detailed history, status, and potential impacts.</p> </li><li> <p>Mentor cybersecurity analysts and coordinate with cyber defense teams to validate alerts and improve controls.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare dashboards, trend analyses, and executive-level reports on threats, incidents, and response outcomes.</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills, Experience and Requirements</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>4+ years experience in Security Operations </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with cybersecurity investigations (Incident Response) </li><li>Experience with various security technologies (SIEM, XSIAM/XSOAR, UEBA, EDR, IDS/IPS, etc.) </li><li>Experience with digital forensic analysis </li><li>Experience with cyber threat intelligence </li></ul> <p>One or more of the following certifications are strongly desired:</p> <ul> <li>CompTIA Network+ </li><li>CompTIA Security+ </li><li>AWS Certified Security - Specialty </li><li>GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) </li><li>GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) </li><li>GIAC Certified Detection Analyst (GCDA) </li></ul> <p>Visa sponsorship not available for this role</p> <p>#LI-JZ2</p> <p>Salary Ranges</p> <p>Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits.</p> <p>The base pay range shown is a guideline.
