The Baldwin Group (NASDAQ: BWIN), takes a holistic and tailored approach to insurance and risk management.</p> <p>The Accounting Analyst provides a moderate level of accounting support and performs a variety of accounting tasks of low complexity with a high level of confidentiality. They perform a variety of work within prescribed standards and procedures. The candidate will be heavily involved in high-volume, fast-paced processing and will operate within established service level agreements while achieving specific metrics.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to a documented system of accounting policies, controls, procedures, and accounting filing systems. </li><li>Assist in special projects and tasks as needed. </li><li>Prepare and maintain all assigned reports, spreadsheets, and related files. </li><li>Participate in the external financial audit process, as requested. </li></ul> <p>Specific Tasks may include:</p> <ul> <li>Perform basic accounting tasks such as recording cash receipts or processing payments. </li><li>Post, print, and obtain signatures on all checks or ACHs as required. </li><li>Prepare supporting documentation of all journals, receipts, refunds, and payments related to Vendors, Insurance Company Partners, and Advisors. </li><li>Process refunds of premium and correspondence relating to refunds. </li><li>Reconcile carrier statements and identify discrepancies. </li><li>Prepare and process receivables from Clients, Insurance Company Partners, or other parties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, skills, and abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Eagerness to Learn: A passion for learning our business model and understanding the products we work with is a necessity. </li><li>Communication Skills: with colleagues, management, clients, and others should be clear, concise, knowledgeable, professional and always courteous. </li><li>Organization and Attention to Detail: Excellent organization skills and attention to detail are required. </li><li>Teamwork Skills: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work cooperatively alongside various colleagues. </li><li>Multi-tasking Ability: Ability to multi-task and actively manage/prioritize workloads in a high-volume environment. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or Finance strongly preferred </li><li>CPA track is a plus, but not required </li><li>Prior experience in accounting or insurance, specifically receivables or payable is a preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>#LI-JR1</p> <p>IND1</p> <p>Click here for some insight into our culture!</p> <p>The Baldwin Group will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than directly from a candidate who applies on our career site.
