<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a full-time General Services Specialist.</p> <p>Job Details:</p> <ul> <li>Location: F&M Campus - Lancaster, PA </li><li>Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt </li><li>Schedule: 40 hours, Monday - Friday. </li><li>Reports to: Assistant Director of Facilities </li><li>Department: Facilities & Operations </li><li>Approved Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour </li></ul> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The General Services Specialist provides moving, delivery, and set-up services for special programs, athletic events, campus activities and general requests. This position assists trades and grounds crew and joins in with snow removal when necessary.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provide support for small & large College and external customer events. Regularly set up & teardown for events as well as move furniture, lay floor covering & build stages. Complete related work orders on a daily basis. </li><li>Support the preparation of athletic facilities for practices, games and events, including setups, teardowns and field painting. </li><li>Maintain and store athletic equipment such as nets, goals, hurdles, paint machines. Report any damage and mechanical irregularities involving College property, vehicles and golf carts. </li><li>Complete special projects as needed. Assist trades when necessary, including seasonal handling of air conditioner installation and removal, and help maintain warehouse. </li><li>Assist grounds with snow removal, chop ice, spread anti-skid material as directed. </li><li>All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED. </li><li>At least 1 year of related experience. </li><li>Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive) </li><li>Evidence of a commitment to community and belonging. </li><li>Valid driver's license. </li><li>Successful interview. </li><li>Successful completion of background checks. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background verification, and verification of credentials.
