<p>Position at New York City Transit</p> <p>Title: Train Service Supervisor - Construction Flagging Analyst</p> <p>Opens: 2/10/2026</p> <p>Closes: 3/9/2026</p> <p>Authority: TA</p> <p>Department: Subways</p> <p>Division/Unit: Service Delivery, Subdivision 'C'</p> <p>Reports to: General Superintendent</p> <p>Location: 130 Livingston Street</p> <p>Hours of Work: AM Tour (Monday - Friday)</p> <p>Subdivision 'C' is seeking qualified candidates to join the Construction Flagging Analysis and Assessment Team. The Construction Flagging Unit is a high pressure, continuously evolving, seven (7) days a week environment, and is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective flagging operations in support of capital projects.</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>You will maintain your current rate of pay.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct daily reviews of Construction & Development (C&D) flagging requests through the TA Labor Construction System (TLCS) portal to ensure accuracy and timely coordination of resources. </li><li>Analyze flagging requests to verify work activity details, locations (stations, subway tunnels, storage yards, etc.), affected tracks under traffic, and/or under General Orders. </li><li>Perform research of various subway system locations utilizing resources such as DRAW, TunnelView, Draft and Approved Service Plans, and NYCT Flagging Rules & Procedures to determine safe and appropriate flagging support. </li><li>Communicate with C&D teams and flagging requestor representatives as needed to gather detailed or updated work activity information, ensuring accurate coordination of flagging support. </li><li>Perform physical field inspection/site visits of future and current work locations to identify potential hazards or safety concerns. </li><li>Communicate regularly with field supervisors to ascertain if flagging support is being allocated appropriately based on the associated flagging request. </li><li>Consult regularly with various Construction Support/Safety departments, including the Office of System Safety, C&D Safety, DOS Safety, and Operating Policy & Procedures, to identify issues concerning flagging rules, procedures and safety. </li><li>Participate in planning meetings to determine requirements for Temporary Subway Barriers and where Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) policies may be required. </li><li>Flexibility to meet the needs of the unit. This includes but is not limited to changes in tours and days off. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years in the title of Train Service Supervisor.</p> <p>Desired Skills</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of TLCS, DRAW, and TunnelView applications. </li><li>Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. </li><li>Familiarity with 'A' and 'B' Division track schematics and signal diagrams. </li><li>Ability to read and understand Service Plans distributed by Operations Planning. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Candidates selected for an interview will be subject to a skills assessment. </li></ul> <p>Selection Method</p> <p>Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.</p> <p>All appointments, with the exception of Department of Subways' employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.</p> <p>Other Information</p> <p>Pursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the "Commission").</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>MTA and its subsidiary and affiliated agencies are Equal Opportunity Employers, including with respect to veteran status and individuals with disabilities.</p> <p>The MTA encourages qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and abilities, including military service members, to apply.</p>
