<p>Job Description:</p> <p>CREC Academy of Computer Science & Engineering High School seeks a full-time Health/PE Teacher.</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the Health/PE teacher will plan, organize and implement an appropriate secondary physical education instructional program. This vacancy seeks a candidate with experience or expertise in the delivery of secondary physical education curriculum, knowledge and skills in creative lifelong fitness based content, and to strengthen a student's physical, emotional, social and academic skills to enable the student to recognize the importance of participating in physical activities that are designed to maintain and enhance healthy life styles.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and deliver Health and Physical Education project-based learning curriculum and instruction; </li><li>Facilitate social-emotional lessons and activities; </li><li>Design and implement team-building activities for small and large groups; </li><li>Participate in all related meetings, and provide appropriate feedback to students and families; </li></ul> <p>Certification/License: Connecticut State Certification (043 Health, PK-12 / 044 Physical Education, PK-12)</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.</p> <p>Master's Degree in related area preferred.</p> <p>Experience: The qualified candidate should have experience working within a diverse high school.</p> <p>Successful prior teaching experience for the applicable grade level (high school) preferred.</p> <p>To access the job description and salary range please click https://www.crec.org/careers/jobs.php.</p> <p>JOB ID# 14050 AT CREC: External Job Opportunities | Careers | Hartford, Connecticut</p>
