<p>Job Title: Designer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer to join our small team. This role is crucial as we prepare for the retirement of a current team member. The new hire will spend 90% of their time at a CAD station developing detailed part and assembly drawings for mechanical equipment, including drying equipment, conveyors, air filtration, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Interpret existing prints and modify drawings for production </li><li>Provide engineering support for the sales team </li><li>Create installation drawings </li><li>Specify and locate individual components </li><li>Travel to customer sites to take measurements (once permanent) </li><li>File and enter data for engineering documentation </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in AutoCAD (75% of the time) </li><li>Proficiency in Inventor (25% of the time) </li><li>Experience creating part, assembly, and fabrication drawings </li><li>Experience with steel fabrication drawings (1/4 inch or more) </li><li>Ability to accurately use a tape measure </li><li>Attention to detail and willingness to assist in various tasks </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>1-2 years of experience with Inventor </li><li>Associate degree in drafting or equivalent </li><li>Experience in a fabrication environment </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>You will be working at a desk in your own space, focusing on tasks with minimal social interaction. This role requires a 'sit down and get it done' attitude. You will receive daily direction and are expected to execute tasks independently, seeking assistance when necessary. Extra hours may be required from October to March during the busy season.
