<p>Job Details</p> <p>Level: Experienced</p> <p>Job Location: Cumberland University - Lebanon, TN</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time</p> <p>Education Level: Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Salary Range: Undisclosed</p> <p>Job Shift: Full Time</p> <p>Job Category: Education</p> <p>POSITION TITLE: Enrollment Specialist for Graduate Programs and Transfer Students</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Enrollment Services</p> <p>SUPERVISOR: Director of Admissions/VP of Enrollment Services</p> <p>GENERAL JOB FUNCTION</p> <p>This position represents the University to potential students and their families, secondary schools and their respective officials, post-secondary institutions and their respective officials and the community at large. The main emphasis of this position is to build relationships with prospective Cumberland University students and any potential source of prospective Cumberland University students.</p> <p>STANDARD EXPECTATIONS</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>To possess an understanding of, and a commitment to, the University Mission and Vision as well as the goals and objectives of Enrollment Services. </li><li>Represents the University at College Fairs for high school students, private visits to high schools, other recruiting events aimed at high school students and at Community College transfer events. </li><li>Maintain and enter prospect data into the student information system in a timely manner. </li><li>Establish and maintain a professional, friendly relationship with representatives at high schools and community colleges. </li><li>Provide counseling to prospective students and their parents regarding the University, academic offerings, admission procedures and financial aid options. </li><li>Conduct follow-up communications with leads and applicants via letters, telephone calls, personal visits, electronic and social networking mediums etc. </li><li>Assist applicants through the application process and track their progress to assure that all required documents are submitted to the University for Final Acceptance. </li><li>Conduct campus tours for prospective students, their families, and visitors to the University. </li><li>Organize travel schedules to cover assigned territory and responsibilities. </li><li>Participate in special functions for prospective students and applicants, such as Athletic recruiting events, Fine Arts recruiting events, Preview Days, Open House Days, Freshmen Registration, Orientation, etc. </li><li>Provide regular reports on contacts to prospects and applicants, visits to schools and campus visits, as requested. </li><li>Assist University staff in recruitment of prospective students to their program and/or initiative as requested by supervisors. </li><li>Perform other duties/tasks as may be assigned as requested by supervisors. </li><li>To participate in and complete a Performance Management Process, following the guidelines set forth by the University. </li></ul> <p>DECISION MAKING AND MANAGEMENT</p> <p>Position carries out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision. Makes decisions and establishes work priorities on an essentially procedure-oriented basis.</p> <p>Position does not have supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Required: Bachelor's Degree with one (1) year work experience in a related field.</p> <p>Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field of</p> <p>study with two (2) years of work experience in a related field.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral communication skills </li><li>Record keeping and reporting skills </li><li>Organizational skills </li><li>Interpersonal skills </li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills </li><li>Computer knowledge and skills </li><li>Ability to travel </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. </li></ul> <p>APPLICATION PROCEDURE</p> <p>The screening of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.</p>
