<p>Location: Oak Ridge, TN</p> <p>Job Title: Production Control Engineer (MRP)</p> <p>Career Level From: Associate</p> <p>Career Level To: Senior Specialist</p> <p>Job Specialty: Production Controls Engineering</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>The Production Control Planning Engineer will report to the Material Requirements Planning Manager and will assist in driving material flow for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This position will work with cross-functional departments to develop, define, and execute innovative Production Control concepts, reduce steps in material flow, and reduce inventory through analysis and development of new solutions. Duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluation of new processes, parts, and products (tooling change, program care, ramp-up, etc.) </li><li>Planning, development, and execution of material flow for production </li><li>Assisting in continuous improvement projects </li><li>PP&C Project Management coordination and reporting </li><li>Master data creation for all Program Integration scope requests </li><li>Development of manufacturing plans (routings) </li><li>Development of bills of materials (on-going) </li><li>Establishing operational scheduling durations (on-going) </li><li>Associate operations with resources for labor and equipment (on-going) </li><li>Supporting creation of shop floor control user interface screens (on-going) </li><li>Management of inventory levels, reorder points, usage rates, and lead times for all Quality Controlled Procured Items </li><li>Facilitation of the resolution of technical system problems associated with our MRP, MES, ERP, TSO, APS, etc., systems </li><li>Assisting and training shop personnel in using our shop floor control system (as required) </li><li>Planning and development of material flow for production supply </li><li>Monitoring, support, and evaluation of projects </li><li>Gathering data, analyzing, evaluating, and driving appropriate changes to material flow based on cross-functional teams </li><li>Analyzing data and developing KPIs to monitor performance and plan improvements </li><li>Other duties may be assigned related to Operations and Production Control </li></ul> <p>What You Can Expect</p> <ul> <li>Meaningful work and unique opportunities to support missions vital to national and global security </li><li>Top-notch, dedicated colleagues </li><li>Generous pay and benefits with a stable organization </li><li>Career advancement and professional development programs </li><li>Work-life balance fostered through flexible work options and wellness initiatives </li></ul> <p>Minimum Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Physical Science/Information Technology from an Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program in the United States or designated equivalents from Canada or Mexico, the Washington Accord, or the list of substantially equivalent as documented by ABET and 4 years of relevant experience</p> </li><li> <p>OR Master of Science in Engineering/Physical Science/Information Technology and 3 years of relevant experience</p> </li><li> <p>OR PhD in Engineering/Physical Science/Information Technology</p> </li><li> <p>GPA - There is a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement up to 4 years post-graduation at time of offer and confirmed by transcript. Beyond four years from graduation, engineering experience will supersede GPA as a requirement for hire.</p> </li><li> <p>3.0/4.0 minimum cumulative GPA for Bachelor's degree</p> </li><li> <p>3.3 minimum cumulative GPA for Master's degree</p> </li><li> <p>3.5 minimum cumulative GPA for PhD</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 5 years of logistics experience</p> </li><li> <p>In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e., 2 years job-related experience and 1 year nuclear experience); or a DOE O 426.2A alternative). DOE 426.2A experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim, newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.</p> <p>This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.</p> <p>This position may be categorized as a "designated position" identified by 10 C.F.R.
