<p>FRONTIER COOPERATIVE is an agriculture leader in Nebraska providing grain, agronomy, feed and energy products and services to our customers. At Frontier, we have a long-standing tradition of successful partnerships with our customers by managing our business with the highest integrity and quality while being responsible stewards in our communities.</p> <p>We are now hiring a Location Manager for our Waverly, NE location. This position is being offered as full-time with benefits.</p> <p>Essential duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Works in collaboration with Regional Operations Manager, Agronomy Division Manager and Ag Advisors assigned to the location office trade area to provide needed Custom Applicators, Operations Specialist and Associates and Commercial Truck Drivers; confers with AG Advisors to develop market plans for new customers and to retain current customers; keeps current with new agronomy products.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains quality service by enforcing customer service standards; analyzing and resolving customer service complaints or problems; confers with customers to evaluate and promote improved products and expanded services in trade territory area; promotes the company by partnering with local communities and schools; organizing special promotions, displays and events.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the day to day operations of grain elevators, grain bins or flat storage grain areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs, supervises and assigns daily elevator related work duties and manages all inbound and out bound shipments of grains.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains a high standard of grain grade and quality while in storage, ensures that bins are ready for grain prior to filling and have been properly cleaned,</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for performing a variety of duties in elevator to ensure highest possible economic return.</p> </li><li> <p>Reconciles daily reports for cash sales slips and credit card charges; balances daily the cash drawer and prepares cash drawer for new business, performs internal and external bank deposits, bills customers for services or products, collects and credits customer accounts after payments received.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and performing stock additions on bagged seed, fertilizers and chemicals, general merchandise, bagged pet, or livestock feed; maintains an awareness of market trends and local competitors and appropriately sets pricing on retail products; motivates staff in the promotion of products to customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages and oversees the proper working order and condition of vehicles, machinery, equipment, building and grounds; assess and troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains adequate supplies; manages the preventive maintenance and repair schedules; orders needed repairs and recommends capital improvements to Regional Operations Manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures all vehicles, equipment and machinery are cleaned to prolong safe and quality operation and to promote a positive image for the company; report any unsafe or major mechanical issues or improper performance to the Regional Operations Manager.</p> </li><li> <p>May be called upon to perform general vehicle, machinery, and equipment maintenance and repairs. Such as fixing tires, replacing wheel bearings and brakes, changing oil, filters, and other liquids, replacing broken or worn belts, replacing light bulbs, lens, wipers, fuses, hydraulic hoses, and couplers.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and support the day-to-day agronomy services and products that are specifically dedicated to a location office. The responsibilities include providing management and leadership for the dry fertilizer plant; provides day to day direction and supervision to a Customer Service Associate, Custom Applicators and Commercial Truck Drivers; provides for a safe environment by ensuring compliance of all OSHA, EPA and company safety rules and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct, supervise and assign daily elevator related work duties to Operations Specialist or Operations Associates; may be called upon to serve as a back-up to Operations Specialist or Operations Associates; manages all inbound and out bound shipments of fertilizer.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, attending company training sessions and establishing personal networks.</p> </li></ul> <p>Job skills and requirements:</p> <ul> <li>This position must have knowledge, skills and abilities in the operational management, business management, accounting and budgets, procurement of services, vehicles, equipment and machinery, talent acquisition, performance management, project management, leadership, quality management and staff development. </li><li>Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of issues; excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills; superior management skills; strong mentoring and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers; ability to effectively interface with CEO, management team and Board of Directors. </li><li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or electronic form; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance procedure manuals and instructions; ability to write routine to complex reports and correspondence; exceptional oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and able to communicate verbally or in writing instructions, directions, and assignments </li><li>Perform basic math computations.
