<p>Panel Care Coordinator</p> <p>Pascagoula Hospital | Full-Time | Monday through Friday 0700-330 |</p> <p>Pascagoula, Mississippi</p> <p>United States</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Panel Care Coordinator functions as an intermediary between the Medical Team and the patient. In this capacity, the role is designed to provide first line support to electronic and telephone queries. This requires the Panel Care Coordinator to proactively manage patient care for those non-office visits. As the primary conduit for the transmission of information between patient and Medical Staff, the Panel Care Coordinator will need to use their discretion to convey pertinent information to the Medical Team. The goal of this position is to gather, assimilate, and convey the correct information to the Medical Team to provide a timely treatment plan.</p> <p>To perform his job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Graduate from a Medical Assistant program accredited by either the ABHES (the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) or CAAHEP (the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) preferred.</p> <p>License:</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Certifications:</p> <p>Prefer currently certified/recognized as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant</p> <p>(RMA) from one of the following institutions:</p> <ul> <li>Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); </li><li>National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); </li><li>American Medical Technologists (AMT). </li><li>Medical Career Assessments (MedCA). </li><li>National Healthcareer Association (NHA). </li></ul> <p>OR must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists (AMT).</p> <p>Must maintain certification according to certifying organization's standards.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Required: 2 years clinical experience as MA</p> <p>Reports to:</p> <p>Population Health Manager</p> <p>Supervises:</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>Work is moderately active: involves frequent requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area.</p> <p>Work involves using repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and or fingers while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard.</p> <p>Work involves being able to perceive the nature of sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction; the ability to make fine discriminations in sound. Work requires close visual and acuity and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus, i.e. shift gaze from viewing a computer monitor to forms/printed material that are closer to compare data at close vision.</p> <p>Must be able to be active for extended periods without experiencing undue fatigue. Must be able to work schedules assigned with the understanding that changes may occur according to the needs of the hospital for off days, shifts or weekends.</p> <p>Mental Demands:</p> <p>Must demonstrate keen mental faculties/assessment and decision making abilities. Must demonstrate superior communication/speaking/enunciation skills to receive and give information in person and by telephone. Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Must possess emotional stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels. Must demonstrate ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.</p> <p>Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in complex situations is required. Must have the ability to maintain collaborative and respectable working relationships throughout SRHS and other organizations</p> <p>Special Demands:</p> <p>Must possess superior customer service skills and professional etiquette. Must possess proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.</p>
