<p>Hadco Construction is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and semis used in dirt and construction environments. This role ensures our equipment stays reliable and safe under demanding job site conditions.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems on heavy-duty trucks and semis </li><li>Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime </li><li>Troubleshoot issues related to equipment working in dirt and off-road conditions </li><li>Complete work orders and service records with accuracy and detail </li><li>Operate vehicles to test systems after repairs </li><li>Respond to field service calls when trucks require on-site repair </li><li>Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy-duty trucks or semis </li><li>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems </li><li>Familiarity with DOT requirements and inspections for commercial trucks </li><li>Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical documentation </li><li>Welding and fabrication experience preferred </li><li>Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) </li><li>Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands & Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Frequent lifting and moving of parts and tools weighing 50+ lbs. </li><li>Regular bending, kneeling, and climbing on/off trucks and equipment </li><li>Work performed in both shop and outdoor environments, often in dirt and construction site conditions </li><li>Exposure to grease, fumes, noise, and heavy machinery on a daily basis </li></ul>
