<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Makes and receives telephone calls, takes messages, routes calls </li><li>Maintains school records and files for building, principal and related requirements </li><li>Serves as confidential secretary to principal </li><li>Distributes mail for entire building </li><li>Reviews principal's mail and brings attention to important pieces of mail </li><li>Greets all visitors in a professional, pleasant and friendly manner </li><li>Types, prepares, distributes, files records/reports, correspondence etc. related to building functions and principal needs </li><li>Takes/transcribes notes for correspondence </li><li>Attend open house and parent teacher conferences </li><li>Maintain accurate student attendance records for building and associated correspondence and reporting </li><li>eSchool data entry for student records / Cognos reports / Triand reporting </li><li>Building / accurate club deposits </li><li>Building requisitions / purchase orders </li><li>Building security access (name badges if applicable) </li><li>Time clocks / attendance reporting for building staff </li><li>Building supply orders (copier / paper / general supplies) </li><li>Liaison for parents, students, and community </li><li>Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met </li><li>Display professionalism in appearance, attitude, and actions </li><li>Communicate with Nurse and fill in during emergencies. </li></ul>
